These Terms of Service govern your use of lifeafterlayoff.co and any related services, content, or community spaces operated by Life After Layoff LLC (”we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our site or services, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services.

Life After Layoff LLC is a Florida-based company. We operate lifeafterlayoff.co, a community platform, content resource, and merchandise brand created for people who have experienced a layoff. Our mission is to provide honest, human support — not productivity advice, not a job board. Just real resources for real people navigating life after a layoff.

USE OF OUR SITE AND SERVICES

You may use our site and services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use our content, community, or platform to harass, harm, or deceive others

• Reproduce, distribute, or sell our content without written permission

• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from our site

• Impersonate Life After Layoff LLC or any of our team members

• Use our platform for spam, unsolicited promotions, or commercial solicitation

• Submit false or misleading information through our survey or any other form

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

SURVEY PARTICIPATION

Our research survey is voluntary. By participating, you confirm that:

• Your responses are truthful to the best of your knowledge

• You are 18 years of age or older

• You consent to your anonymized responses being used to inform the resources and content we create

Individual responses will never be shared publicly in an identifiable way. Aggregated and anonymized findings may be published as part of our content, research, or community resources.

EMAIL AND NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTIONS

By subscribing to our newsletter or joining our waitlist, you consent to receiving email communications from Life After Layoff LLC via Kit and/or Substack. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We will never send unsolicited commercial email and will honor all unsubscribe requests promptly.

MERCHANDISE AND PURCHASES

When our merchandise store launches, the following terms will apply to all purchases:

Payments are processed securely through Shopify’s payment infrastructure. We do not store credit card information.

All sales are final unless an item arrives damaged or incorrect. If this happens, contact us at hello@lifeafterlayoff.co within 14 days of delivery and we will make it right.

Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs.

A portion of proceeds from merchandise sales supports people rebuilding after a layoff. Details on how proceeds are allocated will be published on our site quarterly.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

“Life After Layoff,” “life after layoff™,” and “Still here.™” are trademarks of Life After Layoff LLC. All content published on this site — including articles, newsletter issues, community posts, graphics, and brand assets — is owned by Life After Layoff LLC unless otherwise noted.

You may share our content for non-commercial purposes with proper credit and a link back to the original source. You may not reproduce, republish, or monetize our content without written permission.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Life After Layoff LLC is built for people who have been through something hard. We expect everyone who engages with our content, community, and platform to treat others with honesty and respect.

We reserve the right to remove any content or comments that are hateful, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful — and to ban anyone who violates the spirit of this community without warning.
